BINUS Jazz 2013!

Last Saturday, we finally held the BINUS Jazz 2013 event. And I must say I am a happy and a proud Project Manager. I felt like my hard work finally paid off. The event was a big success (well that's how I see it and according to what some people say :p) There were around 400 people coming to the event and the vibe was real good!

However, I know that this all won't be a success without the help of these people:

1. God - of course God would be the first one I thank, for bringing me this far, for not letting breakdown and always giving me strength when I'm about to loose it

2. Daddy - although you're no longer there to see me prepare and held this event, I know that you're looking at me from heaven. And I know that you're happy that I have made this achievement

3. Mommy - for always reminding me of my health, I needed that

4. Sissy - For always being there when I needed a getaway

5. My fellow Executive Committee and Coordinators, Echa, Della, Fallen, Eka, Feby, Hilda, Ka Vanda, Wina, Rhesa - You guys are definitely the best support I can ever have
BINUS Jazz 2013 Committee
6. My advisors - You guys definitely helped me made decisions and guided me through out the preparation

7. The whole committee - Although some of you guys gave me headaches but you guys were awesome
And all the others whom I can't mention one by one here. Thank you all so much!

    APEX!

As I have told you guys, I was away to Singapore from the 12th til the 17th for APEX Global Case Challenge. There isn't much to say, just how grateful I am to be a part of this, meeting great people, experiencing new things, learnt new lessons. And I must say, APEX you make me love Singapore!

    Good News!!

So... from late February until early April I went through this candidate selection for a competition in Singapore this May. At first I wasn't really sure about it, whether I'm capable and actually a perfect fit (or at least suited) candidate to represent my university, but then I thought rather than regretting seeing someone else go might as well just give my best to it.

From individual selection until group selection I managed to pass all of it. And finally it came down to the very last selection... At that moment I realized that I wanted to be a part of the competition and as a representative for my uni real bad, so I tried giving the best I could (although I know I'm not yet like the senior ones). Then it came down to the part where we had to wait for the announcement. Definitely jitters! But at the same time the desire to be a part of it becomes stronger. At that time all I could do was pray that I can pass the last round of selection.

Well I guess my prayer was heard by God and...

I GET TO REPRESENT MY UNI TO JOIN THE COMPETITION!!!! SUPER YAY!!!!!

This is quiet a big thing for me, as I am actually a newbie in this field, but now I'm competing with other universities from around the world. Thrilling much! Not forgetting to mention that last year our senior won 2nd place, so I assume the uni wants us to at least be at the same place or even better FIRST PLACE. (´_`。)

But whatever. Just gotta give our best anyway, and beat the other univs! And definitely wish us luck for the competition!

P.S. I will be leaving with Ka Cynthia and Ka Kalyana, since we are competing in groups :)

    Quickie!

I can't update too much now, because I'm actually in my mid examination, but I can't hold the joy I want to share. So, at the beginning of the semester, we had to choose our course of interest for the 4th semester until we graduate. After being very confuzzled of which course of interest I should take, I ended up choosing Business Intelligence as my first priority, Applied Database as my second choice, and Applied ERP as my third choice. But finally... after a long struggle of patience, today my course of interest result was announced and I got......

    *drumroll*

    Applied ERP!

I'm kinda sad actually, knowing that I didn't got BI, because due to the number of students who are interested in taking BI in my class is only three, so they couldn't open the class. But I'm thankful that between the two classes that are opened in my class (Applied ERP and SIS), I got Applied ERP. I know it's gonna be easy, not forgetting the very expensive credit fee too, but I have to fight for the best and make my parents proud of me!

Well that's all for now you guys. Don't forget to keep wishing me luck for my mid examination (ノД`)・゜・。

    Say Hello!

This year, I was trusted to be the Manager of Language Department at BSSC. It was a big challenge for me, since I was actually proposed two different positions at two different organisations but then I decided to take this offer because I feel like I have more capability in doing this. And so the recruitment process began and I end up having these amazing people around me as my staffs~

And today we had our first Hang Out Together, that is the monthly event of every department so that everyone can get to know each other more. And today we went to Pancious at Mal Taman Anggrek. Unfortunately not all of them can come, there were only Laura, Della, Vincent, Evi, Stefanie and Vionna. Fanuel, Karyn, Lia, and Giana couldn't join :(

    Hellow Welllow Yellow~*

See! I was right. SPAIN WON THE EURO 2012 FINALS! Woohoo~~ so happy for them. And for the fact that my team won against my sister's team (★^O^★) Anyways, this morning I just had my second last exam. Which means in *beep* more days I will be home. It's very relieving to know that after 6 months of being in this hectic town called Je-kar-dah, I am finally going to be home. For how long? TWO AND A HALF MONTHS! Yessssshhhh. So much win! And since I'm so excited, I've packed my clothes since last week! (´∇ノ`*)ノ And since my final examination is coming to an end, that means semester 2 is coming to an end and that officially means I have finished my first year out of the 3,5 years of uni. Whoa! Time does fly fast. Well, I just gotta hang in there a little while more and in no time I'll be out of Indonesia already. Amen!

Semester 2 - coming to an end
My (small) Suitcase, It's kinda bizarre though, how I am actually having a holiday for two and a half month but all I carry is this small suitcase and my campus bag. And I have quite a lot of things to bring and yet I don't know how.

    Youth Entrepreneurship Workshop

Finally, after a short preparation, Youth Entrepreneurship Workshop 2012 by AIESEC Official Expansion Binus was executed! At first the Organizing Committee (OC) were kind of scared that we won't be reaching our target of participants because our booth just opened on Monday, which means only THREE days before the event. But we were so optimistic that even only in two days our target was already fulfilled. Infact, the number of people who were interested to come went over the limit! We, the OCs were very happy, proud, and relieved that the event went well. The participants were enthusiastic and the speakers were very inspiring. Our speakers were Rene Suhardono, Matthew Mendelsohn, and Tyovan Ari Widagdo. Our hard work definitely paid off on this event. And what makes it even better are the real good feedbacks that we got. Anyways, here are some pics~ :)

    They taught me something~

Visit to the Kasih Mulia Sejati Orphanage
They taught me that life is not just about the money you have or the clothes you wear, but it's about the people around us. Especially the two people that has been with us even before we were born, whom we call parents. We have ours, but they don't. So respect yours!

    Paman Gembul's Lunch!

Went to had lunch with my classmates after Practical Algo class, to celebrate Jordy a.k.a Paman Gembul's birthday at Mall Taman Anggrek Pizza Hut (although his birthday was almost a week ago! LOL). There were Albert, Ghea, Hanna, Bun, Thamrin, Epen, Nova, Betus, Ragnar, Alvin, Dancok, Ko Rendy, me, and of course, Bad Luck Ipul! Hahaha. In total, we ordered around 16 delights packages, 14 glass of drinks, garlic breads, chicken wings and around 5 pizzas! Yeaa, we do eat a lot, even though some of us has really small bodies. But anyways, thanks to Jordy for the treat. I definitely have no problem with being treated everyday :p

    Quickie

Hey guys!! Just wanna update real quick, well it's Sunday, almost the end of April. May is super near which means... MY PAPA'S BIRTHDAY IS REAL SOON! Too bad I can't be with him there in Bali :(

Anyways, I'm still in my mid-term exam week. Yes I know, it is entering the third week. Very very long. But there's nothing I can do about it. So just gotta go with it. The last 3 subjects of the examination are Management, Information System Development, and Management Information System. So wish me all the luck! Yihii. By the way, on Friday I asked my lab assistant about my Practical Information System Development exam results, and it turned out pretty great. Didn't really meet my expectations, but real near! Just short of 1 point. HAHA.

Oh, and I am pretty sure I am right now pretty much being tested by God in so many ways. Discipline, humility, integrity, many more. And I'm telling you, it ain't easy. I was actually awaken in my sleep that time, and thoughts came to mind. It's all coming down to making me rely on God more. How I lately feel kinda left out, forgotten and stuff. All those things is currently teaching me how to put all my hopes in God. But I'm sure all those teachings are worth it :')

Anyways, some crazy shots form this afternoon after church. Please read the instruction (↓) first! :P

    LAUGHING CURRENTLY PROHIBITED
    Hahaha

Well I guess that's all for now. Thank you for reading! God bless y'all ~
