Hi, February!

It's been awhile since I last blogged (about my personal life). The last time was when my parents came to Jakarta, and I pretty much just posted pictures of the shoe they bought me. Well after that I was busy with assignments and the American Culture Week, and of course preparing my trip back home (⌒▽⌒)☆  Since a lot has happened, now I'm gonna try to share each and every one of it.

1. Language Department HOT - For December, we went to Cafe Strawberry in the midst of our busy-ness. It was a very happy moment, knowing I have such great staff and goofy they all are even though most of them are girls! Cute eh?

2. Binus  Entrepreneurship Week - In my third semester, I have this subject called ENTREPRENEURSHIP. Our class was divided into groups and we were asked to start a business, an innovative. My teammates, Ghea, Ninda, Dea, Edu, and I decided to produce an agenda that is created specially for BINUSians.

3. Andrich & Arie's Wedding - This was a wedding that my mom had taken care of decoration of, both the Holy Matrimony and the reception. And I must say her work is stunning! She made it looked like it was held outside of Indonesia, and thankfully the bride and groom were very happy with the decoration. As for me, I helped singing in the wedding, even though only one song, because I didn't really have the time to practise. Infact, that one song that I sang, I practised it with the musician before the wedding!

Oh btw, for those of who are also stunned by mom's work, and would like her to do your event's decoration, just contact her at sally.toli@gmail.com or you can comment in this post ^-^

4. Christmas & New Year's - Well as usual, on Christmas and New Year's we went to church, and just spent most of the time as a family. I just love those quality times. Forever my treasure :)

5. American Culture Week - WHOA! Finally this event is held! After months of preparation, it was finally held from Jan 9th - Jan 12th. I just hope that my staffs and my hard work paid off on the event, also the other committee's hard work. Bravo peoples!

6. FLOOD!! - Unfortunately Jakarta went through some hard days just a few weeks ago where the rain had pour down real heavy and some places were isolated because of the flooding!

7. In-Between-Exam-Getaway - So actually me and Ghea planned to go to Grand Indonesia to join the Trick Art Exhibition, but when we got there, the queue was……. SUPER LONG! There were about 200 people maybe. And we were sickened by it. So…. we decided to sit at Churreria and just had our occasional ridiculous talks there. And after that we went to Funworld to do the photo box.

OH EM GEE!!

YES! Today I met Glenn Fredly!!! At first I was going down the escalator after church, and I saw this guy walking kinda cool. Until he walked past me, and I realized that it was him. I WAS SHOCKING!!  So I told my sister that we should go back upstairs, and if in the count of 15 seconds I can't spot him then we should just go home. But I did! WOOHOO! I didn't know whether I could actually took a picture with him, because he was in the 'artist area', but someone else did, so I did too. I thought to myself, I didn't want to miss the chance that was already in front of me~!!! And here it is, proof that I took a picture with him :3

Hellow Welllow Yellow~*

See! I was right. SPAIN WON THE EURO 2012 FINALS! Woohoo~~ so happy for them. And for the fact that my team won against my sister's team (★^O^★) Anyways, this morning I just had my second last exam. Which means in *beep* more days I will be home. It's very relieving to know that after 6 months of being in this hectic town called Je-kar-dah, I am finally going to be home. For how long? TWO AND A HALF MONTHS! Yessssshhhh. So much win! And since I'm so excited, I've packed my clothes since last week! (´∇ノ`*)ノ And since my final examination is coming to an end, that means semester 2 is coming to an end and that officially means I have finished my first year out of the 3,5 years of uni. Whoa! Time does fly fast. Well, I just gotta hang in there a little while more and in no time I'll be out of Indonesia already. Amen!

Semester 2 - coming to an end
My (small) Suitcase, It's kinda bizarre though, how I am actually having a holiday for two and a half month but all I carry is this small suitcase and my campus bag. And I have quite a lot of things to bring and yet I don't know how.

Quickie

Hey guys!! Just wanna update real quick, well it's Sunday, almost the end of April. May is super near which means... MY PAPA'S BIRTHDAY IS REAL SOON! Too bad I can't be with him there in Bali :(

Anyways, I'm still in my mid-term exam week. Yes I know, it is entering the third week. Very very long. But there's nothing I can do about it. So just gotta go with it. The last 3 subjects of the examination are Management, Information System Development, and Management Information System. So wish me all the luck! Yihii. By the way, on Friday I asked my lab assistant about my Practical Information System Development exam results, and it turned out pretty great. Didn't really meet my expectations, but real near! Just short of 1 point. HAHA.

Oh, and I am pretty sure I am right now pretty much being tested by God in so many ways. Discipline, humility, integrity, many more. And I'm telling you, it ain't easy. I was actually awaken in my sleep that time, and thoughts came to mind. It's all coming down to making me rely on God more. How I lately feel kinda left out, forgotten and stuff. All those things is currently teaching me how to put all my hopes in God. But I'm sure all those teachings are worth it :')

Anyways, some crazy shots form this afternoon after church. Please read the instruction (↓) first! :P

LAUGHING CURRENTLY PROHIBITED
Hahaha

Well I guess that's all for now. Thank you for reading! God bless y'all ~

I have a DREAM!

I have this dream of owning a cafe or a restaurant. I will surely make this dream come true.  Why cafe or restaurant? Because I myself have a really big interest in food and everything related to it.
Cafe? Restaurant? Imagine all these things...

A vintage cafe

Earl Grey or English Breakfast Tea

Or maybe you'd prefer some cappuccino

Rain drops

Books

And pets that you can bring along

Quality-chats

I want to create a place where people can get nearly all of those that I have mentioned above. I want people to have a place that they always go to just to enjoy those blissful moments, as much as I do. Well, here are some ideas that became my inspirations~

Almost a year~

Hey everybody! How are you all doing? Okay I've got some things to blabber about today, hopefully not that much of a complaint :(

So first, as you all might probably know already, I have moved to Jakarta for almost a year now. And trust me, it has been a very very tough year for me! In the time span of one year, I have only went back home twice, while my other friends have travelled back three times. Those days were very very envious, like at some point I had wished that I was Richie Rich's sister and can just go home whenever I want too. But at the same time I knew that it was not easy (not impossible though). During my first year I also met and experienced many things, all the good and bad things. It somehow made me realize that this life is seriously mean! Like how we say people change, I didn't really see that back then. But here, in college life, in J-Town, where they people are more hardcore, I see that really happen. It's kinda disappointing at first, but then hey, this is the world we live in. People change, I change, what matters is towards where is the change. Hopefully mine is towards righteousness. And it doesn't matter how other people react to it. When react positively to it, then you should be thankful that you're actually walking on the right track. But if they come up with negative critics, my suggestion would most likely be, IGNORE IT! Cause negative critics will always be there in our life, but it's our respond that matters. And believe it or not, it can actually lift us up, if we can respond to it in the right way ;)

Not only that, I also learnt so many things ever since I moved. How many thoughts came to mind regarding lots and lots of things, about my future, about my family, about my personal life, etc. I must say I am learning a looooooot after moving. Not saying that I didn't learn anything back when I was still in Bali, I did, but it's just wasn't that fast compared to the pace of learning here in j-town. To be honestly talking, moving to j-town is very hard thing to do for me. As you all know, I am youngest child in the family, and I've been so attached to and spoiled by my parents so much that even leaving to another town is a very hard thing to do for me. It was exciting at first, I mean to actually experience living outside of Bali, but when it actually happened... IT WAS SO DAMN HARD TO GO THROUGH. And I won't even lie how many times I get homesick. Thankfully right now my sis is still in j-town with me, so at least there's still somebody to look after me. But then as I thought about it again, it was necessary for me to learn how to live independently. One day, I'd have to go out there by myself, trying to make a living out of it. It ain't easy, but it's what I have got to do. And rather than being shock later on, it's better to practice from now on. Cause everything might seem easy when we think about it, but when you actually deal with it... It's a whole lot different thing!

Well, I guess that's all for now. Thanks a lot for spending some time to read guys! Jesus bless y'all :)

Oh, btw. thanks mom for visiting for awhile. Definitely relieved my homesick :p

Pessach Celebration

So yesterday was my church's Pessach Celebration, or as what you may also know as Passover Celebration. The idea of the celebration was like an orchestra concert, and I must say, the music was pretty DOPE yesterday! Thumbs up for Ka Deky (duuuh, that's why he's hired to be Trio Lestari's keyboardist I guess, LOL). Not only him, the other music players were also great.  Not to forget the singers too. I am pretty definitely sure that it was all possible because of God.

I was really honored too, to be able to join this magnificent way of praising God. Eventhough we only had practised twice, but thank God we managed to pull it off pretty good!

Change~

People say, the only constant thing in this world is CHANGE. I might have to agree with that. Why? Because it's true. Even when we're not changing, the world is! It still revolves, seasons change, other people change. And maybe we can stay the same, but that position of stagnancy will definitely make us rot through time. I came to realize this when I was looking through my old pics and found the pics when I just put on my braces (yes! scary daysssss).

Before using braces
My second day with braces!
Around 1-2 months of using braces
December!
Maybe you can't really see the difference in the pictures above, but if you see my teeth straight away, you can actually tell the BIG difference. The first day I put on braces, it looked really really bad, that I was so embarrassed. I thought that my teeth placement were not that bad, but it all became really obvious when I put on braces. But anyways, that's not what I'm trying to say. What I'm trying to say is that, the pace of change is really fast. Look at my teeth for example, in only 6 months, it has changed a lot! So therefore, we should be open to all kinds of changes. It may hurt during the process, but trust me, the end will be good, intact great for us! :)

Central Park Community!

Yesterday was Ka Barnie's birthday. So first of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY KA BARNIE!! Wish you all the best that God has planned for you, all the success in your workplace, and get married soon! Teehee.

So yeah, meet my KM friends! KM stands for Komsel Mesianik. It's our church's community group where we usually meet every week and share about our daily life and how God is working in our life. The leader of our KM is Ka Maya. She's a singer with a very very awesome voice (and I ain't kidding). If you want prove, click here. Hehehe. Anyways, the members are Inka, Elina, Ka Barnie, Ka Hizki, Ka Steph, and me. Usually we meet at Central Park, but like today, since it's Ka Barnie's birthday, we meet at his place, and ate together at Pizza Hut! Yumm eh?

In this community we encourage each other, we help others, share life experiences, and grow together in God. And I'm definitely thankful that I'm placed in this community here in Jakarta. As you all know, Jakarta is a very very tough place to live in Indonesia. The crime rate is high, the lifestyle is very very scary, and I think that people can be easily be affected by bad habits (personal thought, by the way). But since I'm here, I remember my purpose of being in Jakarta, and the purpose of living. Thank You Jesus!

Officially 19

Well, it's the 22nd of February, which means, today I turn 19. Whoa. Time flies real fast dude. But anyways, I am so so so thankful for everything that has happen throughout my 19 years of life. Every breakdowns, joy, sadness, problems, challenges, wins, losses, ups, downs, it made me who I am now and it made me stronger each and everyday.

I would definitely not be here if it wasn't because of my God, Jesus Christ. Through Him I can do everything, including living my life. I pray that the upcoming years will still be led by Him.
And second, my family, Dad, Mom and Sister. The second best part of my life after God. They know me inside out, they are the ones who love me no matter what I do. And I know that I am very very thankful to have them as my family.
